Founder & President

Hanya Qureshi is currently a pre-medical senior at Columbia University in the City of New York, studying Neuroscience & Behavior. She possesses a keen interest in ongoing space exploration and commercialization as well as meaningful cross-school collaboration. Apart from her involvement with the Ivy Space Coalition, Hanya also works on several research projects in conjunction with the Ophthalmology Department at the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, the Departments of Neurology and Neurological Surgery at Columbia University's Medical Center, and the Ophthalmology Department at Arkansas Children's Hospital. However, most of Hanya’s time is spent as the Founder and Co-Developer of an international program with the United Nations Girls’ Education Initiative: the UN Ivy STEM Connect Program launched as a virtual peer-to-peer educational and cultural exchange program that links students in the Ivy League with a background in STEM to high school girls interested in STEM abroad. The program has focused on connecting with secondary school and Masters’ students from Tanzania and Rwanda.

Directors Emeritus

Jonathan Li is a junior mechanical engineering major at Yale University and directed planning for ISC1. This year, he is the campus head for the Yale Undergraduate Aerospace Association. He spent the previous two summers at the NASA Glenn Research Center working with materials to enable electrified commercial aircraft. He is most interested in business management and environmental sustainability within the aerospace industry.

ISC2 Leadership

Conference Director: Audrey is a junior at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics with a minor in Energy and Sustainability. She is the Co-Director of the Penn Aerospace Club as well as Founder for the Penn chapter of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS). She is sub matriculating with a masters in mechanical engineering with a concentration in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and energy studies.

Strategic Partnerships Director: Jacob Irwin is a senior computer science major at Columbia University with research interests in various disciplines, including: astrophysics; spatial econometrics; and intelligent systems. He is the CEO and Co-Founder of an international space software and services company, Berkelyn, which provides legal support to private aerospace companies with eventual goals to develop market structures for future interplanetary trade and commerce.

Speaker Outreach and Sponsorships Coordinator: Jacob Leiken is a junior at Brown University, majoring in Computer Science. He is Project Manager and Co-President at Brown Space Engineering, which recently launched their first CubeSat: EQUiSat.
